Budapest - Easter rabbits

BUDAPEST – Doting Hungarian parents can now hire Easter rabbits for their children rather than buy them and avoid the tears when the furry friends end up in the pot.
Hungarian children have long been given live rabbits at Easter, a tradition not seen in other east European countries.
'Up to now it has been more usual for families to buy the rabbits and just abandon them after Easter or eat them,' said Laszlo Perjesi, managing director of the Hungarian Rabbit Product Council, told Reuters.
